Oliver Hans-Paul Buchwald
Oliver Buchwald is General Manager at CCAM with over 25 years of industry-leading structural composites engineering expertise, and highly respected within the automotive OEM industry. His extensive experience encompasses lightweight projects suspensions, structural, semi-structural components and assemblies of BIW. Prior to founding CCAM, Oliver held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, operations and R&D with Daimler AG in Stuttgart during his 18-year tenure, serving most recently as Senior Manager and ambassador for executive management in innovation of lightweight projects. Oliver began his career with Calator Ruckh GmbH and was responsible for R&D of industrial textile machinery.
Fluent in German and English, Oliver has an engineering degree from University of Esslingen, Germany.
Maria Jose Munoz Medrano
Director of Business Development
Maria Munoz is Director of Business Development at CCAM. Prior to founding CCAM, Maria was a project engineer for Daimler AG in the Trucks division responsible for the composite design and engineering of structural composite systems. In addition, Maria worked with several major European OEM suppliers, including: Daimler AG, Porsche AG, Audi, Bentley and Automobili Lamborghini as part of her own advanced design and engineering consultancy. Early in her career, Maria was a Head Project Engineer at Berger, Boehringer+ Partner GmbH, specializing in the application of advanced lightweight design solutions for BIW structures and suspension components.
Fluent in Spanish, German, and English, Maria has a Bachelor’s degree in Automotive & Mechanical Engineering from the University of Valencia, Spain.
Wassim Mourtada is Executive Chairman of CCAM, and the founder and Managing Director of CrystalPoint Partners (“CrystalPoint”). CrystalPoint is a principal Investment company, based in Dubai, UAE, with a diverse set of investment interests including energy, natural resources, financials, life science & health care and advanced technology. Wassim’s focus on research commercialization and technology transfer is internationally recognized, and has an established record in partnering with governments, multinational corporates, institutional investors, and research institutions across the globe. He also serves Chairman of the Pakistan Energy and Resources Company Ltd., which is actively engaged in the development of a concession in the Thar Coalfields of Sindh, Pakistan, for mining and power generation.
Wassim earned degrees in both Economics and in Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (USA).
